Find the answers to the questions on Domain Refund Policy, Domain Life Cycle and the Domain Transfer in the articles below.
The domain life cycle is the cycle of five different periods that any domain goes through. In this article you will learn how it goes from registration to expiry, what will happen if you do not renew your domain, and what may cause its eventual deletion. If you couldn’t find what you were looking for, please, contact our Support Team.
The first period of any domain lifecycle is its availability. In this period, it can be registered by any person or organization via a domain registrar that works under the TLD authority. You can search and check domain availability here.
This is the period when a domain has already been registered, and is fully functional. During this period, the domain can be renewed for up to a total of 10 years. Keeping the domain active is essential to maintain the website and mail working.
Whenever the domain is not renewed before the expiration date, it moves to the Renewal Grace Period. During this period, the website and all associative services will stop working. However, your domain will go to the Active period again if you renew it within the corresponding period of time listed below. You can renew your domain from My Domains page.
At the end of the Renewal Grace Period, if a domain is not renewed, it will enter the Redemption Grace Period for about 30 days. During this period, the domain can be redeemed only by contacting our Support Team, however, this is costly, time-consuming and generally a manual process.
If the domain is not redeemed during the Redemption Period, it will move to the Pending Deletion period for 5 days. During this period, all data will be deleted permanently, and the domain will become available for public registration again.
